Hello Alice is offering $10,000 grants being distributed immediately to small business owners impacted by coronavirus, as part of our broader mission to ensure Business for All. In addition to funding, grant recipients will receive ongoing support from the Hello Alice community.
Hello Alice is a free, multichannel platform that helps businesses launch and grow. With a community of more than 200,000 business owners in all 50 states and across the globe, Hello Alice is building the largest network of owners in the country, while tracking data and trends to increase the success rate for entrepreneurs. Our partners include enterprise business services, government agencies, and institutions looking to serve small and medium sized businesses to ensure increased revenues and promote scale. Co-headquartered in Houston and San Francisco, and founded by Carolyn Rodz and Elizabeth Gore, we believe in Business for All by providing access to all owners including women, people of color, military connected owners, the LGBTQ+ community, entrepreneurs with disabilities, and everyone with an entrepreneurial spirit.

For 111 years, the NAACP has been in the business of helping people. That’s why we created the SOCAP Fund to leverage social capital for good. We’re proud to award small grants to support the issues we care about, including connecting Black-owned businesses to critical resources to support their stability in this time of crisis. We want to thank the Founding Funders (Bacardi, L'Oreal, and Vistaprint) for their commitment to us. We know together we can make a difference.
BeyGOOD is on a mission to spread hope. The goal is to provide a lifeline for small businesses at the epicenter of dual pandemics. BeyGOOD has teamed up with the NAACP to expand economic opportunity by awarding grants of $10,000 on the 15th of each month through the end of 2020.

African American and Black small business owners received disproportionately low amounts of government aid during the pandemic, and we're working extra hard to fix those inequities. Luckily, Verizon, Silicon Valley Bank, Ebay Foundation, UBS, Visible, and Stacy’s Rise Project, to name a few, thought we were on to something and offered $10,000 emergency grants. Thanks to them for being awesome, and for recognizing how amazing the Hello Alice small business community is, we were able to distribute over $1.5 million in funds to 154 awardees! But we're just getting started. Now you can apply for exclusive mentorship and grants up to $50,000 to catapult your business forward. Applications are open through September 25, and we'll be celebrating the recipients later this fall, while we work hard to support each and every one of you incredible owners grow.
NAACP Powershift Entrepreneur Grant
The NAACP Powershift Entrepreneur Grant is Daymond John’s quest to find and award up and coming Black Entrepreneurs. Black Entrepreneurs across the country can apply now for the chance to win $25,000 each to help them grow and scale their businesses during a time they need it most. In addition to the monetary compensation, winners of the grant will receive mentorship from Shark Tank’s Daymond John and join him live on air during Black Entrepreneurs Day to showcase their businesses. Apply for the NAACP Powershift Entrepreneur Grant now and be a part of history alongside Daymond John, Shaquille O’Neal, Gabrielle Union, Chance the Rapper, Jamie Foxx, Robert Johnson, and more!
Backing the B.A.R.
The NAACP x BACARDI are working together to provide dedicated support to Black-owned businesses in the beverage alcohol service, sales and hospitality industries. Backing the B.A.R. is a NAACP initiative that is awarding over $ 350,000 in acceleration grants, education, support and entrepreneurship solutions for Black-owned bars, restaurants, nightclubs, lounges, liquor stores and small businesses in the process of applying for a liquor license. If you are a Black business owner with a liquor license or real liquor license aspirations - and you need financial, educational or mentorship support, please apply here. Grantees will receive a grant of $ 10,000 dollars. Ideal grant recipients are looking for support in accelerating their business for the future.
L’Oréal is on a mission to create the beauty that moves the world. The L’Oréal USA Inclusive Beauty Grant Program, in partnership with the NAACP, aims to support and help inspire the best of beauty across an increasingly diverse world.
Vistaprint, the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, and the NAACP teamed up to empower Black-owned small businesses in New England. Power Forward Small Business Grants provide $25,000 + design and marketing assistance to qualified applicants on a rolling basis.
